About North Captiva Island

North Captiva Island (also known as Upper Captiva Island by locals) is a gem, a barrier island west of Cape Coral, on Pine Island Sound and the Gulf of Mexico.

Grocery Shopping,
Fish Markets,
& Liquor Stores

Even though North Captiva Island doesn't have full-service grocery stores on the island, there are plenty of options for our guests, either shopping personally, having the grocery shop for you for a 10% fee, or paying for a personal shopper that will get your groceries out to the island, deliver them to the house, and putting everything away in the refrigerator, freezer, and cupboards for a 40% fee.

And there is a small convenience store on the island.

Water Taxis
&
Airport Shuttle Services

There are two water taxi services that run scheduled services between North Captiva, Pine Island, Cabbage Key, and other barrier islands in the chain off Charlotte Harbor.

In addition, there are airport shuttle services that will pick you up from Fort Myers (RSW) and Punta Gorda (PGD) airports.

Activities on the Island

In addition to the private pools that many homes on the island have, there are also club pools, club tennis courts, free equipment sign-out for club guests (kayaks, bikes, tennis rackets, beach umbrellas, and beach chairs).

There are also companies  on the island that rent fishing gear, kayaks, boats, and jet skis (not to mention fishing charters, scuba and snorkeling lessons, and paragliding).
